02.02.2007: A friend of mine came up with a proposal to buy an old military airfield, so we went to have a look at it today. Not that I expect that this will really happen, but you never know in advance what is possible and it would be fun to own your own airfield.
10.02.2007: I spent a lot of time looking into transponders and radios, especially regarding the Mode-S transponder and 8.33 kHz radio discussions which are currently taking place at EASA. Both will probably become mandatory soon even for general aviation aircraft, so it would be silly to install a Mode-C transponder and a 25 kHz radio just to have to replace them in a few years. The results of these investigations can be found in the avionics section.
Then I designed this homepage, on which I will document the building of our kitplane. I have only designed a primitive homepage in html some years ago, so this is the first proper one. Let me know if you like the result or if you have any problems with it, as I’m only testing it with Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 and 7.
20.02.2007: I have also started looking at some gadgets I want to add to the plane. Details can be found in the gadgets section.
21.02.2007: I added a new page with a drawing contest. I wonder how much feedback I will get.
25.02.2007: Fine-tuning of the homepage, more links added etc.
