01.01.2019: I have finally started updating my website. I’m switching from FrontPage 2003, which is definitely outdated, to WordPress. This is comparable to transitioning form a Piper L4 Cub to a Cirrus Jet, so I expect this will take some time until everything is up and running again. I expect the site to be stable and to have a consistent look & feel by the end of January.

02.01.2019: I have finished all paperwork to close the flying year 2018. I finally managed to fly 36 hours and 35 minutes, not bad considering that I have flown only 12 hours by the end of July.

03.01.2019: Even though I’m busy with my website I still managed to go flying today. I want to beat those 35 hours of 2018 in 2019, so I have to start early….

The weather wasn’t perfect, but it was the best day in quite a while.

12.01.2019: The worst problems of switching to WordPress are solved, the site seems to be stable and accessible from a computer, tablet and mobile phone. I’m still refining the design, but have in parallel started importing the contents of the previous site. I have decided to port the entire building log to the new layout rather than keeping the old site alive, as this will simplify maintenance in the future. When doing this I will also update some general information on aircraft building, such as on avionics.

24.01.2019: I’m busy porting my old website to the new one. I can do around one year per evening, as there is no export / import function that truly works. I can copy the text from the old pages to the new ones, but the pictures get lost so I have to import them again manually. Luckily I had stored them in folders per month on the old page, so they are easy to find.
