08.06.2018: I’m off for a ten day business trip to Australia tomorrow, which means no flying again for a while, so once I had prepared my stuff I managed to squeeze in a short flight to the Rhine Falls. It only lasted an hour, but that’s better than nothing.

24.06.2018: In two days I have the bi-annual check of my SportCruiser, so I went to get the plane ready and took the chance for a short local flight.

26.06.2018: It was time again for the bi-annual check of my SportCruiser by the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation. Amazingly the inspector found not a single issue this time, neither on the plane itself nor in the papers.

To keep track of components time limits, documents expiry dates, regular service bulletins etc. I have produced a little EXCEL tool some years ago, which really helps keeping track of everything. I originally did this when we established our own CAMO+ organisation in the club, as our mechanics where sometimes struggling with the paperwork, but I of course also use it for my own plane. I have given it to some other pilots and flying clubs, and it seems to have spread quite a bit, so if someone is interested in it please let me know.

Once the inspector had left I went flying, taking advantage of the nice weather.
