31.10.2020: I’m back from a long absence of updating my site. Too many things have happend since the beginning of August, which kept me from flying, as well as from updating this site. I have been on vacation (see update from August), we have won a large project in Australia, which is challenging due to the inability to travel, and I also had some issues with a construction project right next to my house, which required my full attention. And the few times I would have found a slot to go flying the weather prevented me from doing it.

This was also the case today, where I drove to the airport, got my plane ready, and then waited for the fog to clear. This should have happend early in the afternoon, according to the weather forecast, but the meteorologists ere quite often wrong when it comes to predicting the clearing of fog. Lommis airfield lies in a small valley, which means that a thin layer of fog can often persist even if the surrounding hills are all clear.

I had my plane ready, as had some other optimist from our club, but we just sat around for two or three hours until we had to accept the fact that the fog will stay.
